Finally back home!
Got on the scale this morning to find myself down a little over 3 pounds! Hubby is down like 6, so he wins the first week.... although I'm still going to look at percentages to see how that works out, since his start weight is almost 100 pounds more than mine.
Hubby picked me up from the airport last night and we went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. I love that it's a buffet, but mostly a salad bar with not too many 'bad' choices.
So good to be home. The kids start school on Wednesday. We are heading out here soon to look for running shoes for our son and have to find book bags for the girls, but so ready for them to start back.
Gotta run! Have a good day all!

Another day in the life...
Very busy day yesterday. We are planning on being ready for business tonight, so I spent the day directing the
20+
new employees on what to clean, how to make what, where to put things, plus being pulled in a million different directions by vendors and the owner of the store :S When we first open, we like to do a few hours of 'practice' by handing out coupons for free product to local businesses and employees friends and families. The first evening is when we honor those, which allows for everyone to get a chance to make some pizzas and get an idea of how it all works before we open for 'real'. Well.... we've handed out
500
of those coupons in the last couple of days!!! It could be a
VERY
busy 4 hours tonight :0
After work last night, the owners invited me to dinner with them. They had made reservations at a place called Jacksons Grill. By the name, you would never guess that it's a VERY upscale place. There were all sorts of very nice offerings.. I got a spinach salad with grapes, apples, beets, candied pecans and more in it.. The guys got the swordfish. Although my salad was really good, I don't think my stomach likes pecans (my taste buds do!). I got back to the hotel and had the worst
gas
(shhhh). Yuck!! My stomach was so large I could have been mistaken for being pregnant!! I also had creme brulee for dessert.... YUMMMM!!! Something I had never had before, so I ate it all!
Okay, gotta get my butt ready for work-- busy busy day ahead!! Have a GREAT day FS buddies!!

After the being part of the Dave22 comment marathon last night (and being up for about 21 hours because of it!) I got about 5 hours of sleep and now have a very short moment to write a quick journal....
Good morning from beautiful
Flagstaff
!! Got here yesterday around noon-- it's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix, but I love the scenery of the desert, so it was nice... not to mention the speed limit is
75
! I will be here until Sunday morning and will be kept pretty busy it looks like. Tried to see about having my hubby come down for the weekend, but with such late notice and the holiday weekend... not gonna happen :(
My two youngest have their school orientations today. Obviously, I'm going to miss out, but hubby is taking the afternoon off to go with our son. Daughter already has toured the school and all of that, so she is going to go by herself and just get her schedule verified. She's nervous about starting high school-- and I can't believe she's starting!!! She will be 14 in October, so she is one of the younger ones to be starting 9th grade. Only 4 more years... WOW! 7 for my son. I am always amazed when I really think about it-- their childhood years go by
sooo fast
!
Can't spend much more time on here-- gotta get to work! Hugs to everyone and have a
SUPER FANTASTIC
day!!

Hubby had to get up at 3:30 this morning, so I woke up with him and after laying in bed for about 1/2 hour and not falling back to sleep, I decided to get up and get my day started. Got in my
20
minutes of On DEMAND workout (upper body today), then got my
crock pot dinner
started. I made a ham a while back and froze what we didn't devour, so today I am making a pot of white beans with ham. It's one of my husbands favorite meals, and not hard at all to prepare!
Finally got almost all of the school shopping done. Both girls still need bags, and the two youngest need sweatshirts, but the majority is
DONE
!!!
Did good yesterday with both exercise and food. Did my workout in the morning, had a good lunch (salad and zero point progresso soup), then made yummy fajita's for dinner. Had mine on wheat tortillas, so not too bad. I even got a little adventurous and added a fresh jalapeno to the fajita veggies-- made them much spicier, but really good!
Will be working from the office today. I leave early tomorrow morning for
AZ
. I'm going to Flagstaff, which is about 2 hours north of Phoenix, and much
cooler
! Should be very comfortable weather there... and I will only be there until Sunday, then I have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off, so I will be able to spend the holiday with my family, then get all the kids off to school for their first day on Wednesday! So glad they are going back :)
My oldest daughter will be
18
in November.. I'm trying to figure out something to do for her birthday that will be memorable as it is such a big milestone. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I want to get it figured out so I'm not doing it at the last minute!
Hope everyone has a
SUPER FANTASTIC
day!
