I am ABSOLUTELY proof that calories in and calories out do NOT equal weight loss. My calories have been under 1200 all week and of the two lbs that I lost I gained one back!!!! How can that be when I have been running over 3 miles every day??? I did have too many carbs yesterday and carbs are definitely the key for me! I got weak and ate 5 of the dove mini's. Then I had two slices of whole wheat bread for supper! Sigh! Sigh! Sigh! I don't care if they are "good" carbs (the bread was whole wheat) it really doesn't work for me. I still can't understand why running this much doesn't help in the least to lose even an ounce of weight. Sure it makes me stronger and feel better but the jeans are still tight! This is when I usually give up the exercise because it is futile...

Ok. I weighed in at 143 today. Lost the 2 lbs that I have been losing and gaining for the last two months. I just have to keep it going somehow. Unfortunately I bought some Valentine candy! I look at those pretty packages and cave pretty much every time. I will let you know at the end of the day how it went.

Well two days of being really good carb wise and still weighing in at 145. I really hate that number. Went to a funeral today and my black pants are tight especially in the legs. Probably had too many carbs today so I am only having lean meal for supper. I also had part of a candy bar!!!! Did not eat the whole thing tho, one big step for me.

Sundays are my downfall. I have a tendancy to 'treat' myself by making kettle corn and I usually eat all of it. Yesterday at least I gave half to my husband since he was in the house. Then I proceeded to eat two candy bars, with the mindset that as long as I fell off the wagon I just as well make it a really good fall!!! Then I get up Monday and decide I will start an 8 day for the week and usually I don't follow thru on it. TODAY will be different. I woke up and weighed myself and I was at 145. After I lost my 30 lbs. two and a half years ago, I said I would never be in the 140's again and here I am halfway thru the 140's. On top of that my friends are talking me into running a relay marathon this summer and running at a lower weight would be much easier. I need to change my mindset and get tough with myself. I am starting an 8 day again!!!!!!!
