Lost one pound. Not much, but I guess it's nice that the scale is moving in the right direction.

Went for a run on the treadmill yesterday and boy was it HARD. My body was sore and my mind kept trying to tell me to quit... but somehow I stuck with it. I managed a 5 min warm-up, 20 min run, and 5 min cool-down, but every second of it was a serious mental struggle.
Tonight, I start my strength routine. Nothing crazy right now, just using my own body weight as resistance (planks, push-ups, wall-sits, etc). Gotta tone up these muscles!

Went for a run on the treadmill on Saturday and couldn't believe how good it felt! Granted, I'm somewhat out of shape and it was a struggle, but after a 5 min warm-up, 20 min run, and 10 min cool-down, I was happy as could be :) It's so odd that I fight exercising regularly when I really do feel good afterward, but I guess sometimes my laziness gets the best of me. Must remember to push myself more.
I've also been doing better with my eating. I spent Saturday at a cookout and Sunday at a fair (both high-food-temptation situations) but it was so darn HOT that I didn't feel like eating much. I guess 98 degree days are good for something :) And last night my boyfriend came home with 4 BOXES of ice cream drumsticks, but I resisted the temptation and didn't indulge. I mean, I'll have one at some point, but I'm trying to train myself to not give in to that horrible feeling of craving something. I'd rather make a conscious "Okay, I'm going to have ice cream tonight so I'll make smart choices throughout the day" decision than give in to a "MUST.EAT.ICE.CREAM.NOW!" thought.
