Well, here we go. Weekends are always a hard time for me, the hubby is home and doesn't really enjoy "diet" meals, so I tend to get a bit carried away with what I cook during the weekend. But it's now Monday, so we're back onto MY kinda food! I've got dinner all planned already (other meals are a cinch for me, it's dinner that's my downfall) so IF I can just keep outta those danged pretzels tonight (my OTHER big downfall) I should start to see some downward movement on the scale this week.

Also have to start getting more movement into my day. We found an online war strategy game that we're really enjoying, but I find it's taking up so much of my time that other than a 3-5 mile walk with the dogs in the morning, 90% of my time is spend on my butt in front of the computer monitor! NOT good for a diet, OR my heart, OR my muscles, or any other part of me! So I have to get back into that "get on your feet and move at least 5mins every hour" schtick I used to do when gaming too much! lol AND get back into my kettle bells, those gave me such a sweet workout...LAZY, that's what I am, just plain lazy! :(

Wishing one and all a healthy, happy, OP Monday! :)

Well, so far so good, the excess water weight is coming off already, and the old habits are coming back quickly. The dogs and I walked 3 miles yesterday, in 39 degree weather, over thick sand trails...was quite a workout, but felt good after.

Now for the weekend...I always slip up a little on weekends, but with the weight gain from the holidays, so slips ups allowed this weekend. :) I'm taking a mini vacation, which just means I'm cooking extremely simply partially prepared meals for the next few days, to chill a bit after the heavy holiday schedule...so if I can drop a few pounds while NOT cooking my "good foods", next week should be even better for losing, when I get back to normal.

My biggest problem is scaling back my portions on dinner (I'm great during the day) AND limiting my pretzel (BAD carb! lol) intake at night. One serving and I'm fine, it doesn't interfere with my weight loss as long as I don't go over my daily caloric intake. Sooo, just have to watch those portion sizes and NOT think that extra helping of pretzels at night is ok! Eh, I can do this, I know that, it's actually DOING it that can be a real PITA. lol

Hope everyone is having a great, OP (on plan) weekend.

I'm ba-ack. Back in August I decided to try the WW Simply Filling Technique. And while it's a great way to lose weight without logging tracking everything that enters your mouth, I tended to start eating larger portions, and basically get a bit sloppy. And it slowly began to show on the scale.

Over a period of 4 months, I regained 5-6 pounds of the 32 I had lost. And then over the holidays, I simply gave in and ate what I pleased, including tons of my homemade cookies, and elaborately calorie intensive holiday meals. And now it's 2014, and I find it's time to whip myself back into shape again.

Luckily I didn't give in completely, so I left 2013 about 20 pounds lighter than I entered it. Now to do even better in 2014! Hey, it took me years to gain this excess weight, I guess it's going to take me years to lose it again too, which seem pretty fitting. lol

Hope everyone is back for the new year and that we can all attain our weight goals in the coming months. Let's take back our lives and get on with our journey! :)
