I guess right now is why people say you should exercise in the morning. It's time for bed now and I haven't done my exercise for the first day of the 21 day challenge. Not good to start off a challenge this way. Started to get on the bike before but after 5 minutes both children needed me so I stopped. It's nine and I REALLY don't want to get on the bike right now but I won't be able to get over it if I don't. So I'm going to get off the computer and on to the bike...even though it's the LAST thing I want to do.

Tomorrow starts the first challenge I've joined: 21 days to make a habit--working out EVERY DAY. I have never in my life worked out every day of the week...in fact, there have been periods (many) in my life when I haven't even worked out or done some sort of purposeful exercise three times a month and now suddenly I'm expecting myself to do this every day??? I told my friend about it today and while supportive, she knows my track record so...
I'm going to do this though...how hard can it be? Right? ;)

Yay! Happy with the weigh-in today. I was definitely focused last week--it almost feels weird to be so in control...I just keep hoping I can maintain the same level of focus and control so that I can continue with the weight loss and reach my goals.

Nothing too exciting to report today except for the fact that I might actually be understanding how to eat less during two meals of the day to be able to splurge a little at the third meal. Usually, I just think of splurging as eating badly and then it's a terrible spiral of poor eating because I "messed up" so why bother now...as if the weight loss slate has been tainted never to be pure again...until the next "restart". Today, however, I knew I was going to be eating a higher points lunch...so I cut back on my other meals...and at the end of the day I actually have points to spare. It's not rocket science...I know...but somehow it's a concept that has eluded me for YEARS. I'm not claiming to be cured but at least I've had a week of successful choices. I found myself in a couple of situations that would have normally lead to a complete binge, but I didn't overeat once this week. It almost feels weird to be so in control.
I've gotta make it last...
