Delicious yam fries that are easy and quick to make and satisfy both a salty and sweet craving.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C).
- Peel yams and cut into large chunky french fry pieces.
- Drizzle with olive oil and spread out onto baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with paprika and salt (or just use seasoning salt).
- Bake for 15 minutes until lightly brown on the bottom. Turn and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until soft in the middle and crisp on the outside.
- Serve in place of regular potato dishes.
- Note: also really good as an appetizer with a yogurt-based dipping sauce!

These are amazingly sinful tasting but they're great for you.

I love sweet potato fries, okay for you on a diet, just omit olive oil, try spraying lightly with cooking spray....good job

Clever idea, not sure how yams are really that different from potatoes.

Excellent. Recently I was looking for a Yam Fries recipe & couldn't find one. I cut them too thin & kind of burnt. Still edible but next time they will be so much better. Thanks!

Sounds yummy, but sweet potatoes are not allowed on South Beach, phase 1..

Agreed, I love these sweet potatoe fries- I add a dash of cajun seasoning. But only for Phase 2 or 3, not phase 1.
