Okay, I've got to decide that the work stress is not going to win. Grabbing snacks to eat at my desk, or escaping to Wendy's for a quick lunch is just not being good to myself, no matter how much I think I "deserve" it. What I deserve is to take care of myself, eat healthy, insist on the time off I need, and feel the satisfaction of completing a session on the treadmill every day.

Let's try this again. After a week of being sick with sinusitis and home from work, I've had time to reflect on where I go from here and I've decided it is time to get serious about getting healthy again. Today is the first day I've felt human, so trying to get back to good habits. Need to get some good food in the house and make sure I have healthy choices. At least there was an apple in the frig this morning for my breakfast!

Been on vacation a little over week and even though we ate out a lot, I managed to lose about a lb and a half. I attribute that to no stress eating and no fast food. I really need to find a way to not let the hectic demands of work interfere with my health. I'm the one in the driver's seat - no one tells me I have to run over to Wendy's for lunch just because they're closest and I don't have the energy to go to a healthier alternative!
Leaving today for training - just a two day stint and the restaurants there are so expensive I'm taking fruit with me and will not be tempted there. Also there is always a LOT of walking at these things because they tend to put the guests at one end of the resort and the classes at the other. That's a good thing for me.

This upward trend has got to stop. I know the problem is I haven't been tracking what I eat. I'm back at Weight Watchers now and that just seems to have put me in a rebellious mood so I think I can eat whatever I want, but I'm still not satisfied. Back to being reasonable today. I'm on vacation starting tomorrow, but it's a stay-at-home, get some stuff fixed around the house type of vacation, so I'm going to try to fit in a healthy food shopping trip at the beginning.

Well, I'm back at weight watchers and though not fully in the swing yet, at least I've got my "at work" support group and the meetings are interesting and fun, so help with the motivation. What I really need to do is take an afternoon off and totally restock my kitchen with some healthy food. Also need to stock my desk at work with some less dangerous foods than I can get in the vending machine.
