Male:39, US NAVY for 18 years. Started dieting 2 weeks before i started to record my weight on FS. On Jan 15, 2010 my weight was at the heaviest i have ever been (292). Wish me luck. Actively doing the P90X Classic workout and staying true to the excercise program. Not following the P90X diet plan because i dont have an extra $300 a month to spend on the diet stuff. Just simply counting calories and working out.

not getting enough calories???
I just try to stay in a 1000 calorie deficet compared to my workouts. I have my RDI set at 2300 calories but find myself going over by a few hundred calories, but im very active in excercise. So if my calories burned are 4500 for the day.....ill try to stay under 3500 calories. Its working very well for me!

Under RDI and eating after 8pm!
I have a good question here....well i think its a good question. I am very active with my exercise during the day (6 days a week). Normally putting in 2 hours of either cardio, strength training or both in a single day. IF im WELL in a deficit from calorie intake and burned calories, is it ok for me to eat late at night before bed. Eating things like 2 pieces of pizza and such and still loose weight? I ate pizza last night around 10pm and still was in a 1700 calorie deficit. Anyone have personal knowlegde of this.... Will this be ok if im still well in calorie deficit?

Recording Power 90 in exercise log
Ascarb..I didnt see any listing on FS excercise section for any Power90/P90X workouts. But there is the ability to put in an "Other" at the very bottom of the excercise list and you can customize it. Calorie burn is really all about your weight, length of workout and heart rate. I find a simular workout on this website below and use the calories burned from that. Hope this helps

Swimming vs. Running for cardio?
according to a few articles out there, the professionals say that swimming burns more calories then running, but..... running is a great cardio workout and those same articles also say that if you could include both swimming and running, that would be the ideal cardio workout. Only issue with swimming is the ability of finding a pool, runners have to just put shoes on and run! Dejavu47....swimming would be a great rehab for your ankle IMHO. Just until your back up to par. I have had a ACL reconstruction on both of my knees and that is the main reason i swim. K8yk...your doing so awesome! Keep up the great work.
