Tough food day already today. I woke up not wanting to cook at all. I finally did and I'm glad I did. I made a bacon cheese burger and eggs for breakfast and finished it off with a bowl of spinach. It made me want to make the cooked spinach and eggs my mom used to make when I was little. Gotta get some garlic first though. Breakfast tomorrow is gonna be stellar!

Re-started Atkins today. Woke at 1pm, ate breakfast at 2pm, Eggs and the last of my roast beef lunch meat. I'm not eating sandwiches anymore, so I chopped it up and made a scramble with it. It's real beef, not the pre-packaged stuff, so it's carb-free (as much as any deli-counter roast beef is). Made some chicken parmesan nuggets for lunch and dinner.
Ate a snack at 5:30-6:00. Atkins bar and a shake.
Lunch will be at 9pm at work (the chicken nuggets and cauliflower). Snack (Spinach salad with Tuna) when I get hungry, then Dinner around 3am or when I get hungry (the rest of the chicken/cauliflower), again at work.
Pretty pedestrian for food choices today. I'm working on varying recipes, but my grocery shopping was not well planned out this week.
I have had a headache for the last few hours. Not enough salt today. I'll live with it today and up my salt content tomorrow.
I need to plan meals better. I think for the first week, I need to figure out how much I'll be eating, then groceries for next week will be better thought out.

After 2 years, I'm coming back to this diet. I was unemployed for a year and a half, an now I finally have the resources to stick to a relatively expensive diet like Atkins. I'm sick and tired of being fat and feeling like crap all the time. I'm committed to making low-carb my lifelong diet.

I have a confession: I've been avoiding FS for a few days. I broke my diet big time on Wednesday. My excuse was that the power was off in my apartment when I woke up and I had nothing to eat that didn't require cooking (I have an electric stove). So I went out and had Mcdonald's and later on that day, since I couldn't return home before work, I had some Clam Chowder for lunch and a burrito for dinner. I also had a piece of chocolate cake for a snack.
To my surprise, I only gained a pound the next day. I returned to Atkins yesterday with one small cheat (a small McFlurry). I had a very hard time resisting temptation after the major cheating day on Wednesday. I had to rush out of an Applebees (where I had a bunless burger and broccoli) so I wouldn't order the big ice cream sunday that was calling out to me. I didn't get sick from eating the carbs as I thought I would. If I had, resistance would have been easier.
Today, I am down 1/2 pound from yesterday's weight of 272.8 and I'm back on the Atkins track. I have been in induction since I started so I didn't have to change anything.
So, a little thing like a power outage knocked me off track, but the damage wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be. I'm getting back on track again. I feel guilty for cheating, though I've been doing great with the weight loss so far. I shouldn't feel bad. There will always be wrenches and forks in the road. Just gotta accept it and move on.
