Well, the in-laws have gone home. Thank goodness. I have zero willpower and they left candy and junk laying out everywhere! My first week on phase 2 has not been a very successful one. However, the distractions have lessened now and I can focus on myself and my food choices now!

I knew that getting back on track would pay off!! I'm now halfway through week 2 of phase 1, and I'm so happy I chose South Beach to help me get back on track to eating healthier!
For some reason, I seem to be getting better at other things too, like staying focused on getting things ready for a visit from the in-laws this weekend!
My oldest daughter has gotten this kind of focus back too, but she changed her diet to piscetarian(hope I'm spelling that right). It's like vegetarian, except she also eats seafood. I also believe that a huge benefit has come from deleting so much processed food from our diets. I have no idea how much weight she has lost. But , I know that she feels so much better! I'm not ready to take that same plunge, but I knew I was ready to make changes and the changes are paying off!

Not surprised that the scale went up a little today. Last night my hubby and I went shopping for furniture and his sugar was dropping so we went out to eat. Mostly , I did well, but not completely.
This is life. Today is a new day, and I have done much better.
