Out of curiosity, I averaged my caloric intake for the past seven days. I ate a daily average is 1,548. The question someone may instantly ask is, "Why are you restricting calories if your low carb? I heard low carbers claim they can eat all they want and still lose weight!"

The answer is, "I'm not restricting my calories - my body is." Because I've been in very low carb/fat burning mode (known as ketosis), a byproduct of that is natural appetite suppression. I do not ignore hunger when it comes upon me; when my body tells me to eat, I eat. When I'm satisfied that I'm full, I stop. As a result my meals are smaller and spaced more throughout the day...hence, fewer average calories eaten per day, and I feel just fine!

So it is true that when you do low carb CORRECTLY (which not everyone who tries it does or can for long), you darn well CAN eat all you want and still lose weight. That's what I'm doing right now, and lovin' it.
