1,072 calories consumed for the day, including dinner. Breakdown:
Carbs, 13g (14%)
Fat, 91g (64%)
Protein, 56g (22%)
I'm full so don't know if I'll have a snack later or not. Probably not (ketosis kills the snack gene). At this rate, which so far seems sustainable, my other program says I'd weigh 158 lbs in 5 weeks if I keep on with this eeeeeeevil low carb way of eating. I may be able to do that!

Wendy's BLT Cobb is excellent. It's all there...grilled chicken, bacon, boiled eggs, blue cheese, tomato and of course lettuce. A high fat dressing made without soy oil would make it perfect but, hey, it's drive through so it's not going to be perfect. But it's close. My wife and I have been splitting the full size version (minus crutons and dressing) every few days, and just had one for lunch with unsweetened tea. Even the half size is VERY filling and satisfying. Highly recommended if you've not tried one.

Breakfast: two scrambled with shredded cheddar, fried in Enig's oil mix. 5 slices nitrate-free bacon. Glass of water, vitamin, fish oil and flaxseed oil. 2 hours later and no sign of hunger...back in my bowl o'Cheerios days, I'd have already needed another.
Have also noticed my desire for coffee - which I enjoy - diminishes after several days in consistent ketosis to the point where I just don't hate it, but just don't desire it. I had a cup yesterday just to see how it tasted. It was okay (my usual cream/coconut milk mix) but I never went back for a second. I didn't even want any this morning; just water. Not sure why desire for coffee would fade, but I'm not going to fight it.

Out of curiosity, I averaged my caloric intake for the past seven days. I ate a daily average is 1,548. The question someone may instantly ask is,
"Why are you restricting calories if your low carb? I heard low carbers claim they can eat all they want and still lose weight!"
The answer is, "I'm not restricting my calories - my body is." Because I've been in very low carb/fat burning mode (known as ketosis), a byproduct of that is natural appetite suppression. I do not ignore hunger when it comes upon me; when my body tells me to eat, I eat. When I'm satisfied that I'm full, I stop. As a result my meals are smaller and spaced more throughout the day...hence, fewer average calories eaten per day, and I feel just fine!
So it is true that when you do low carb CORRECTLY (which not everyone who tries it does or can for long), you darn well CAN eat all you want
and still lose weight
. That's what I'm doing right now, and lovin' it.

My new motto: Fat IS the secret. By my figures, I've eaten 1,282 calories today. I feel full, feel fine, brain sharp as ever. How is it possible? Because my intake is mostly healthy fat, backed with some protein and a higher than usual intake of good carbs, but not enough to kick me out of ketosis (fat burning). So today was my one day a week for the steel cut oats...they were fantastic but tomorrow it's back to the bacon and eggs fried in coconut oil for breakfast.
