So, I have been away for a while, mainly because I gained weight after Christmas and haven't been able to take it back off. It's so frustrating to put weight back on when you were doing so well taking it off. I know why I put it on and I know what I have to do to get it back off so I am going down that path again. However, it is hard staying on that path once you have strayed.
Getting older doesn't help. It seems like every time I take a few steps in the right direction something happens to set me back. Example, I got to the point where I was jogging instead of walking and then I twisted my ankle. My ankle gets better and then my back hurts. It just seems like everything I try to do to lose the weight, my body decides, NOPE, gonna make your knee go out! Just sit down for a while and ..hey look a pizza!
So my wife is helping me get back on track, we have been walking again but my ankle still feels week. It didn't help that the other day the dog got away from me and I had to run down the street to try to catch her.
At this point I just need to keep moving, go back to veggie only diet, stick to the raw veggies and hope for the best. I think I am going to try to find a place to do some swimming so I can continue to be active without relying on walking/jogging so much. Need the cardio but don't need the stress on my old bones. I know once I drop another 30 lbs my body will be able to take the weight a bit better and stupid crap like ankles and knees going out will happen less frequently. It is just getting that extra 30lbs off that is the tricky part.
