Today I had problems with my blood sugar. Headache and stuff. This usually only happens near the full moon. So I looked it up and sure enough we're right before the full moon phase! I will have to eat a bit more for the next few days to keep the headaches at bay. I really thought this would go away with the onset of menopause, so far it hasn't. Oh well, the weight is coming off. I measured this morning and have lost several inches from my waist and upper body, not much off my thighs or hips yet. I counsel to myself "patience grasshopper". ;)

Normally when I diet my husband suffers and does his best to sabotage my efforts. This time he isn't doing it! Why? Because 1 day a week I can eat whatever I want! So he looks forward to my "day off" so he can take me out or whatever without guilt. What a cool thing! If I'd known this is what it took to get him to support me I'd have done it a long time ago. Not only that, HE is watching what he eats! I'm in shock! He told me yesterday he was going to grab a burger and he thought of me and what I "preach" about eating better and he went to Subway and ate a chicken teriyaki foot long instead, wow! He is in this with me and understands that I really need to get back to a reasonable weight for my height. I'm 5'3" and should weight about 139 max. This extra weight is bad for my body and has to go. Nuff said. :)

I haven't been on FatSecret for a few days but I've consistently drank my Nutribullet shakes each morning, had protein and vegetables for one meal and I try to do starches and vegetables for one meal. I switch off. I don't mix starches and proteins at any meal. The difference in my body from this small change is remarkable! My joints ache less, I feel better. I'm not as hot as I've been. No gas, bloating or acid reflux. My body is doing so much better since I have stopped combining proteins & starches in my meals. There are tons of articles out there that talk about it, some say it doesn't matter. For me it has made a huge difference so for me it is of vital importance I eat them separately. If you have any of these issues, give it a try, you may find it is the answer you've been looking for! :)
