Maintaining the weight is the hardest. As long as I don't go more than 5 lbs above my ideal weight, which it is not, then I'll be OK.

I used to weigh 183.5 lbs. back in Jan. 2001. What motivated me to change my lifestyle was health.
I had high chloresteral, borderline diabetic. The doctor wanted me to go on meds, but I told her no; I will change my way of eating and exercise. So I did and lost a lot of weight. I kept a chart of the weight as well as the inches lost. That really helped motivate me to see the line chart with the line going down...down...down. Anyway, I no longer have medical issues. Achieved this by common sense way of eating, for me, and staying more active.
The last 4 to 5 lbs. is the hardest (at plateau or gain a pound, lose a pound), but my goal is to lose 53 lbs. So far as of this date, 10-18-09, I have lost 49.5 lbs.
