I was disappointed that I didn't lose yesterday. (I do love immediate results.) But I am back following my plan and reminding myself that the scales will move soon, and I will be so glad that I got going again. Just the thought of spring helps! Hoping I can exercise more during break and just enjoy life! one week and two more days of work until then!

I have backslid some. I fell and broke my wrist the last week of January. I spent three weeks in a huge arm cast until they decided it wasn't healing after all. They removed the cast and put a metal plate in. After ten days of a new splint and wrapping, I graduated to a brace. Tomorrow hopefully, I will be able to do without that and so some physical therapy. Also, during February, my dad died. It hasn't been an easy winter. I have gained four pounds in the last few weeks. I am struggling with wanting to snack at night.
Today was better. I got on the scales this am, and reminded myself of what I want. I am looking forward to spring.. and hopefully more success toward my goal.

So happy to hit 180 finally. For me, I'd try so hard, lose a lot, and then get stuck. I was so hard on myself. I've tried a different way of thinking this time. Give myself two months to work on ten pounds, upper numbers one month, lower ones the next, being flexible about the end goal. Life happens! I can't manage to walk everyday but I am trying to walk as much as I can, prefably outside because I am stuck inside so much between a long commute and long winter work days. This has to be something I can live with, not a race that makes me miserable and sets me up to fail.

Feeling really good about the last few days. With God's help, I managed to resist a fattening lunch at school with friends and brought my own soup which I do like. This weekend I continued to make good choices. Saturday I did have half my favorite sub for dinner, but I made a point of walking a mile during the day. Sunday, I walked two. By Saturday am I was back to 183 after a tough week of night cheating when he worked overtime. By Monday, I dropped another pound. And today, one more. Even though it was freezing, I walked a mile this am.

Today has been good. Weighed in one lb over. Whew! Walked my mile since izzy and I could get out. Bought my lunches (chicken soup). Had half a sub for dinner. Completely satisfied. A good day.
