Happy New Year, everyone.
I made it through all the travel, services, etc. without gaining weight over the holidays. I maintained - so I am pleased.
I had 2 decision based days of eating whatever I chose to eat during the holiday, but the rest of the time, even if I did not have Ideal shakes etc. with me, I stayed with protein and salads and veggies. Did not use refined carbs and did not miss them!
Now that I am home and staying on task the last two days, I am finding the kidneys are working overtime - so am probably in for a big drop in weight again (the usual sign). Had an excellent sleep the last 2 nights, and attempting to drink more fluid - which both seem to help.

Hello: I just found this group. I have been on a "partial" Ideal protein plan since the end of February of 2011. I started at 329 lbs and have been hovering at about 265 since September. So decided it was time to be more diligent the last 2 days and am now sitting at 260.4 - because I have decided to eat the usual Christmas dinner, etc. but still need to be very careful otherwise as planning to have major surgery in April 2012.
I want to be in the low 250's by Christmas time.
I have been amazed by the sizes I have lost. My slacks went from 6x to 1x or 30 to 20. I am big busted so tops which were 6x have dropped to 2x or 3x depending on style and clingy-ness.
You are probably wondering what does she mean when she says "partial". Well, since I was not able to afford the whole program - I would get the chocolate powder drink and the snacks (I like the dill zippers for my evening snack). Even that was an improvement; since before my decision to lose weight - I would get up and make a cup of coffee and sit down in my office and start work and forget to eat until sometimes 2 or 3 in the afternoon! Now, I still make my cup of coffee but I also make the chocolate drink in my tall shaker with a bit of cold water to shake it up and then add as much hot water as I want - so I have a hot chocolate drink and a coffee each morning - and thus, I eat breakfast!! every day.
