Low cal diet
Visit http://www.dukandiet.com/. It's not a new diet but I wish more people knew how effective it is. It's not the easiest diet to follow but let's face it--nothing good is ever that easy. Losing weight and keeping it off needs a life-style make-over and the dukan diet is just that.

I need some advice
You know what, do 2400 for a week and then cut back to 2000 and stay with that. I don't think eating fewer calories than is advisable. I know you want fast results and so you want a bigger calorie deficit but cutting back too much on your calories will make your body want to store fat because it thinks you're going into starvation mode. Plus it might be all to easy to gain back that weight. Find a nice low carb diet that's easy to follow and 2000 won't seem like too much (especially if you like snacking)

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I check my weight once everyday. Usually in the morning.
