It all depends on which energy pathway that you want to target. Not necessarily more energy is used but what is being burned. And no just because your heart is beating faster does not mean more oxygen, thats a big myth. You want to target fat loss? Jack the treadmill up to at least 8% incline and walk for a hour. That will shred the fat. I hate when people think that running is the end all be all for losing weight.
