The old switcheroo!!

I feel like I'm going crazy! A couple of months ago I bough some Fiber One bars, which (I thought) were one point each. Then someone pointed out to me they contained Trans fats, and when I checked the label they did! So I stopped buying them, a couple of weeks ago I wanted another bar of some sort and checked them out again. Now they were listed as zero trans fats (of course, I understand they can have less than .5 g and still say zero, not sure the difference between "No trans fats" and "Trans fat free"). So I bought some more, they were a bit dry, but for one point and lots of fiber I liked them.

So yesterday I picked up some more, and they tasted so wonderful...too wonderful...I checked and recalculated the points...they are now THREE POINTS????

None of the boxes have said "New and Improved" or anything!!!

This was in the WW magazine this issue (a pretty cool magazine, BTW).

Rails-to-Trails

I'm very excited! This fall I was wanted to start a group to go on hiking trails, and this seems like a great place to start to find places to go (once it cools off).

The other neat thing was drilling down into locations where you could find more great places to hike (that weren't old railway lines).

There is even a really long trail in Missouri, that goes through some vineyards! I'm thinking that next summer I might try to get a group to take a tour through there for a vacation. My husband can enjoy the wine (and I can sample some!), and we can have great fun exploring!

On the minus side, fixed chicken nuggets and "formed mashed pototoes" from a TV dinner for my toddler last night...

He (of course) only ate a couple of bites...and I finished it off!! I asked myself after I had done this (and discovered it was worth EIGHT points), why??? It was 99 cents worth of food!! I could have had more of the angel food cake I have in the kitchen!!! I was painfully full...I haven't been that painfully full in a long time...I dozed early to say the least!

On the plus side, I lost three pounds! I used up almost all my flex points this week, but I have exercised five mornings a week...so whether it was the extra food actually helping, or the exercise, I don't know. Since most of the extra points were consumed on days (the weekend) when I FAILED to work out...Except for those I counted for my weekly "extras" (the whipped topping and chocolate sauce for my angel food cake!).
