Hi all. I am a contractor and work from home, traveling to client sites. When out of town, as you might imagine, it is soooo hard to eat properly but I try. Normally not too bad, just have to keep in mind what needs to happen.
I started this journey about 4 months ago and lost 30 pounds doing it. My doc thought it was great and said to keep doing what I was doing. Right now, I am targeting another 30 pounds and am focused on 185 to 175. I keep my goals reasonable and in line with where I want to get to now, not where I want to finally be. I had previously been at 185 and held it there for 7 years but fell off the wagon and went back up. For me it has to be a life style change.
My biggest challenge is that I am diabetic and have to be real careful on that, adjusting for activity and food I eat other wise I drop really low. So currently walking is my exercise routine until I get lower on the blood sugar and the reaction isn't so bad. Kind of a like a good boy / bad boy sit. But I know it, can feel it and adjust when I feel it. I really keeping track of all of this as I know it will be really good long term.
