Hey everybody! It is very early morning (1:43 a.m.) here right now. I was just talking to my mom on the phone for a couple of hours. I love our long conversations. It is definitely keeping us sane while she is staying at Deer Meadows. I will stay on the phone with her for as long as she needs me to keep her company and get her through this in every way possible. I love hearing her beautiful voice.
I went to a job interview on Friday for Boscov's. I think that the interview went really well and fingers are crossed for a callback. She wasn't the hiring manager; she was filling in for the manager. We connected on many levels, we had a great conversation, she told me that I am "very promising", asked me when I was available to start, confirmed my telephone numbers with me, and told me that she was going to pass my application and information along to the hiring manager. I am incredibly excited and hope that it works out! In the meantime, I am submitting applications at different places that I am interested in working also.
After the interview, I went straight to the gym. It was my third day of the week at the gym. I was wearing formal attire for the interview with my beautiful $200 leather tote bag in tow. I packed some gym clothes and sneakers. I enjoyed the gym and grabbed something to eat. I was famished after that interview. ;)
After my Friday gym session, my brother called me and asked me if I wanted to go to Frightfest at Six Flags. We just purchased season passes. I told him no because I was really tired. My brother kept needling until I resigned and said, "Ok, fine. I'll go." My brother can be very convincing and does not take NO for an answer. 🤦♀️😂
I wound up having a really nice time at Frightfest. I was nervous about fitting on many of the rides. I was able to get on all of the rides that we went on!! There was one ride where I needed an accommodation, but I was incredibly happy overall. I was able to get on ALL OF THE RIDES! We purchased a gold dining pass as well which allows us a lunch, dinner, snack, and unlimited beverages every day we come to the park. Of course, I splurged when we were there. I ate a twisted soft pretzel with cheese, a chicken caesar salad, and those damn waffle fries! 😋 Frightfest was a blast! I will continue working on my goals, but that was HUGE that I didn't have to slink down "The Walk of Shame." In a previous year, yes. I had to leave some of the rides because I couldn't fit, the harness wouldn't buckle, etc. NOT THIS YEAR!! I will continue with this progress too! Keep plowing, everybody! It's all about the wins/gains along the way!

I am missing mom while she is at the rehabilitation center. I decided to make HER chili. How I miss her and her cooking!! I cannot wait until she is released, and I can pick up cooking for her again. I know that she is missing the home-cooked meals. 🍲🍽💜
