Simply picked up my 6 month old baby and threw my back out----worst pain of my life not to mention loss of function of my legs. After going back to the doctor today I know where my mind HAS to be focused. I have a compressed disc and was told that I have to lose 55 lbs in the next 3 months or I'm highly risking rupturing said disc which means more pain and agony for the rest of my life or back surgery or a combination of both. Sometimes it takes a major scare before reality sets in. I want to be healthier. I NEED to be healthier. My children need me and I still have a long life ahead as long as I treat my body right and stop abusing it. So meal planners have been printed and menu planning has begun. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and Wednesday is Day 1 of the rest of my life of HEALTHY---I'm done feeling miserable all the time and putting my kids at risk of not having their mom as long as possible because I'm being lazy and selfish. Changes commence!

According to the scales---yes the ones that I love so dearly I have to visit them daily---I'm down to 258. I have another challenge off-site that I'm also participating in and Fridays are weigh in days. I think tomorrow will be another Fat Fast Day. I feel better with every pound I give away. I'm sooo super out of shape. My toddler who is a super speed demon wants me to run around and play with him. I live in a very small house and cannot seem to make more than 3 trips jogging around it before I feel like I'm going to collapse out in the grass. SO my new personal challenge is to race with my toddler every day---3 trips this week then 4 trips around next week and so forth and so on. I mean---he'll always be able to run 20 more trips than I can but I'd at least like to be able to give him a run for it without feeling like I'm going to die in the process.

This is what always happens when I have to go into the office. I'm sure it's a combo of too much sodium, not enough water, and slightly more carbs on the days that I go in because I'm constantly on the run and all food is restaurant food even if making low carb choices-- I'm sure they're still packed with not quite as healthy things.

Yay----did a fat fast yesterday-and back down to 259 today! I'm going to keep staying low carb and watch the lbs melt away.
