Humm - stomach seems bigger today without having had lots of food. Staying true to the diet and had dry toast with banana for breakfast which was OK as by mashing the banana, I didn't miss the soya spread. 3 satusumas at work in the morning and rushed home for a small coronation chicken sandwith with hardly any coronation chicken. Home made burger (not horse!) (one small one) with a huge garden salad, no bread or spuds.

Starting to notice a difference around my stomach in that I can get my cardigan to close loosely around my tum instead of simply the edges meeting! Weigh in day on Saturday and should have lost some more if my tum is anything to go by. In fact, I am getting used to having the smaller portions now and not missing them. Still eating the same food types which are healthy so not missing out. Roast chicken with roasted peppers, mushrooms, potatoes and 10 sprouts for dinner tonight. Not having gravy as that has a lot of calories and, to be honest, I don't miss it.

Had a fairly good weekend in that I did not overeat plus I allowed myself a small chocolate treat which I did not overdo. I think I may have lost a little more weight this weekend. Am finding the two wholemeal toast and mashed banana keeps me full until mid afternoon which is nearly unheard of for me! Looking forward to seeing a svelte like me in 4 months (ha, ha, ha)

Weighed in and lost 5lbs which is not that good considering I have been on the diet for nearly 2 weeks. I want faster results but the food diary is an excellent way of showing me where I am going wrong. Like today - I had a piece of lamb neck fillet and for the first time I weighed it and it was 12oz which is 993 calories. Use by date was today so I ate the whole piece and what I should have done, in hindsight, is cut it in half and had the other cooked half tomorrow cold at lunchtime in a sandwich. Grrr. Well, at least I know how fattening lamb is now. Chicken tomorrow!

A bit grumpy today as after a good start on Monday, I slipped last night and scoffed 4 slices of homemade pizza instead of the two slices I was going to allow myself. However, I have got on the scales this morning and I may have lost a couple of pounds (won't know until the proper weigh in at the weekend on the scales at Boots the Chemist). Also my waistband might feel a bit looser. This has spurred me on this morning to forget yesterday and I had a plan slice of granary toast and one medium mashed banana for breakfast. Meeting a chum for lunch today in a pub but I will look to have fresh fruit salad as my meal and a diet coke.
