I'm a 36 year old who has been working out and eating right since I've been 20 years old. It has not been easy and I have definitely struggled along the way in more ways than one, but I am enjoying the ride. I don't go on "diets"...I don't try magic pills...sometimes I just "get it"...and sometimes I need to kick my own butt...but I know there is no replacement for CHOOSING a healthy lifestyle that can be carried throughout the remainder of life.

Yes, I ate McDonald's today...and I will most likely eat McDonald's again at some point in the near future...there was a time when I would have beat myself up over that for days...now I just try to care about myself enough to know that I'm not trying to win a contest...I'm just trying to be the best ME that I can be.

A lot of my friends have either jumped on board with healthy living now...some just recently and some for a while now. I couldn't be more thankful for that.

This thing is a journey, not a race!!

Here are some lemon alternatives that I really enjoy!!
-an orange slice, squeezed into the water
-a few cucumber slices
-a berry or two squeezed in there (blackberries, strawberries, etc).
-a combo of several of the above
