Day 5 No Sugar

Had such a fun day with my BFF Donna. We went to hot yoga together and then to the mall and bought fun stuff. She got a pair of shoes and I got a Lululemon jacket. I LOVE my new jacket. It's not as sporty as my other one. I'm going to be using it for those cool evenings where I'll need a jacket. It's an awesome purple color.

Last night's soccer game was SO much fun. I played Left-mid and ran awesomely for the whole game. We didn't have enough players to sub out. I even got a compliment at the end of the game by one of the other players, "Nice Speed." WOOOHOOO! That's almost as good as when one of the other teams kept calling me "the skinny white girl." Skinny being the awesome word there. I really did play my best game ever. And I think that two things contributed to that: 1) I got an adjustment from my naturopath. She's awesome. And 2) I was drunk. Yes, I drank a martini straight-up just a scant few minutes before the game at a local bar (with my other team members) and it was full to the brim. I was so tipsy that I couldn't drive.

My Friday team is my really fun team where they usually all go drinking before the game and I never participated. Well, I think I'm going to give it another try -- you know for scientific purposes only. I was so aggressive (not in a mean way) and fast and all over the place. I always joke around that playing mid is that "backy-fronty" position. Well, I was backy-fronty all over the damn place. :-)

This morning in hot yoga, we "set our intention" and I dedicated my practice this morning to my game last night.

Day 3 No Sugar.

Feeling better today. Not having the major cravings. Did cave and have a cup of coffee with vanilla stevia in it. Quite good. Hopefully, it will help me focus and I can get my stuff done for work.

This has been the craziest day. Yesterday, I had something very horrible and confrontational happen and it sent me on quite a tailspin. I'm very happy that I chose exercising instead of oveating. Last night's hot yoga class was exactly what I needed to calm my nerves and sleep really well. Slept so well that I didn't want to get up for this morning's hot yoga class. No problem, I'll go tonight.

Did a run yesterday -- OK, did a jog. Did 30 mins jogging at 5.5 MPH with a slight incline on the treadmill. Felt really good. I expected to be really sore this morning, but the soreness isn't too bad. I'm feeling a little tightness in my lower calves, but other than that...feeling pretty good. I think I'll have another run tomorrow. Maybe I'll go for 40 minutes at 5.5 MPH. I'll do 5.5 MPH for at least another week. I want to ease back into running. Maybe I'll do a trail run on Sunday. That would be fun. :-)

I've got so much work to do and not enough time to do it. Here I go...

This has been a really tough week for me. Work is insanely crazy right now. Maybe scheduling my surgery 1 month before a deadline wasn't the best idea. I wasn't able to get productive as fast as I needed to. I've been burning the midnight oil all week - getting in the office early and then working until 10 or 11 every night.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm weighing right now. I haven't done a weigh-in in about 2 weeks, haven't been drinking enough water, and I'm not tracking my food. And I haven't exercised since Friday. Noah and I have promised that we're going to 7 yoga sessions in 7 days next week. Starting on Monday. He's up for it and so am I.

As soon as this week is over, I will be back on track and ready to go. :-) I'm also going to start running again this weekend. I want to do a trail run now that the weather is getting nicer. I just wish I had someone to run with. :-(
