I just lost 15 lbs. in 30 days doing Whole30!!!!
Hi guys,
I just created a challenge called Whole30. It's based off the Whole30 program which can be found at
www.whole30.com
. They also have a book called "It Starts With Food" which is a great book. This is not a weight-loss program, but it has many benefits including weight loss. In fact, I just did the program for the 30 days and I lost 15 POUNDS (and my husband lost 12 lbs.)!!!! I didn't even have to exercise and the weight literally just melted away. I felt like a balloon deflating. I am starting this program again for the month of May with the hopes of losing more weight and resolving some health issues. I created the Whole30 challenge to promote this program because I am a believer! I don't really want to moderate the challenge - I just want to create awareness of the program. Basically, you eat 3 meals a day consisting of 1-2 handfuls of protein (meat, eggs, seafood), plus loads of veggies, plus nuts and healthy fats (cashews, olives, coconut, coconut oil, olive oil, avocado). For the 30 days, you do NOT consume sugar, artificial sweetener, alcohol, legumes (including peanuts/peanut butter), grains, dairy, sulfites, MSG, carageenan and white potatoes. Also, NO Paleo-fying foods (example: no coconut flour pancakes, no paleo pizza, etc.). This program seems hard at first (you will feel tired, have headaches, etc. from detoxing). Also, you need to read labels carefully. If you have questions, the Whole30 website forum and Facebook page are great sources for information. The best part of this program is that it's FREE! You can choose to buy their book but it is not necessary (just very informative). You could probably borrow it from the library. You can also purchase their daily e-mails which would be a great way to get support (I didn't do that although other people found them helpful). I highly recommend this program to everyone! Check out the Whole30 testimonials A-Z on their website to see what kinds of health issues can be resolved with this program!
