I didn't weigh in last week and have not been watching what I've been eating. So I have gained about 7 pounds in two weeks. Ridiculous. But I'm starting again and since I've already lost 50 pounds once, I know I can lose the next 50.

My word for 2014 is CHANGE. I feel this year is a year of change. I want to change things about myself. I want to change things in my life. And I feel that there are changes that are coming that I won’t be able to control. I’m not sure what those changes will be, but I want to be ready for them.

Though I’m not a fan of Barrack Obama, I do like his quote:
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

And Steve Maraboli’s quote:
“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you DO have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.”

I hate being out of my comfort zone. But if I want change in my life, I have to be willing to step out and move what I want moved. I don’t want to stay where I am. I want to be stronger, healthier, closer to God, further along at the end of this year than I am right now. With God’s help, I believe I can do it.
