I am very proud of myself for sticking to my diet like I have. So far I have lost 6 LBS! Now on to week 2 and hopefully I will drop more weight. I am in the process of waiting for a stationary bike to be delivered to me, but in the mean time I am taking walks with my dog (she doesn't complain! LOL). Once the bike gets here, I plan to do at least an hour or more of cycling to "nowhere" every day, as I feel that this will help me to drop the weight faster!
I am also in the process of getting back into the work-force on a part-time basis after a very long absence. Several prospects, but am very nervous due to my lack of experience. I am just praying that someone will give me a break.

I am keeping a food journal in a book here at home at the request of my doctor. I have decided to share my first days food intake here so that I may get some insight as to where I am going wrong, because I followed the diet plan in the South Beach Diet book for day 1 and I have been feeling hungry all day, in fact as I write this I am feeling hungry...Not sure how I am going to sleep this way...Anyways, here is what I ate today:
BREAKFAST:
2 egg omelet w/ 2oz light mild cheddar cheese & 1 glass of vegetable juice
after a 10-15 minute walk with my dog I had 2 large glasses of water
MID MORNING SNACK:
1 mug of green tea (no milk or sweetener of any kind) & 1 part skim mozzarella cheese stick
LUNCH:
Baked boneless skinless chicken breast (small) on mixed greens w/ 1 1/2 Tbsps dressing & sugar-free jello & 2 large glasses of water
after another 10-15 minute walk with my dog I had 1 large glass of water
MID AFTERNOON SNACK:
1 stalk of celery & 1 triangle of light Laughing Cow cheese
SUPPER:
1 piece of sole(fish), steamed green beans, tossed salad , vanilla ricotta creme, 2 large glasses of water & a mug of green tea (no milk or sweetener of any kind)
After all this I am still hungry!! Any help is greatly appreciate. Also, how do I reply back to someone's comment directly to them & not to my post? Thanks.

Well, I survived Day 1 of Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet. The only problem that I had today was that despite only eating what I was allowed for the day I still felt hungry all day & still do. Is there anything that I can do to stop feeling hungry without going off the diet? I'm not having any cravings at all, just feeling hungry & no sense of fullness after eating.
