Weight is a tricky little sucker. So, I went to the Chinese buffet last night and weighed in this morning. Here is the breakdown and why I'm okay with what seems like a very serious gain:
1. My water retention is up 2.4 lbs (expected)
2. I lost a pound of fat
4. I gained about a pound of muscle
5. The remainder of weight gain was a couple of ounces.
161.2 lb Lost so far: 29.3 lb.    Still to go: 6.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 5.4 lb a week

Just curious, how can you tell how much water you are retaining?

Mandabanababa- I go to a weight loss place weekly and the scale calculates it. Water, fat percentage, BMI, and body fat.

Do you trust those readings? I think they may be good for trends but . . . I trust my measurements and my balance - beam scale.
