Dani_Suave's Journal, 29 March 2012

Yesterday was really stressful. Tomorrow is my last day at work and I still don't have a financial plan so every little thing is another cut. The things that happened yesterday were big deals individually, and all of them in one day was pretty rough. At least it all happened at once and now I know right?

I ended up dropping the kid with a friend of mine while I went to the field with another friend who tossed me some balls so I could do some serious batting practice. Who says softball isn't good cardio? After batting he was willing to catch for me so I could pitch some too. I played fast pitch in highschool so not everyone is brave enough to stand in front of a possible 65 mph pitch :) I'm sure I didn't pass 50 but hey, 2 full buckets and I was feeling a lot of the stress was worked out.

The thing I'm proud of is that I used my frustration wisely and let it fuel a physical response that will ultimately help me feel better instead of going into self destruct mode. I didn't eat anything I shouldn't have, stayed as positive as I could, and am doing alright today.

One more day at this job and this chapter is ended. I'm going to finish strong and be prepared for whatever comes next. Phooey I say to all those naysayers in my way. Ain't nothin gonna bring bring me down, ain't nothin gonna stand in my way. Especially with buddies like you standing with me. Thanks guys.

Excercise, any form is a HUGE stress reliever. I always feel better about myself & my life & the world in general after a workout. Way to go & good luck too!

Excercise is awesome this is true. There is something so satisfying about beating the crap out a of ball and watching it line drive towards the parking lot that is such a release of tension for me that I don't get from many other activities! Can't wait for softball season again so I can have practice every week :)

Aw man, that sounds FUN, even if you were picturing people's faces on the ball... LOL I'm gonna have to find me some batting cages... I played in a town league as a kid, softball, but just as much fun!! I still have my glove and my Louisville Slugger! Way to work thru the angst in a great way!! We're all sending happy vibes to you! <3

It was fun! And very positive. Really no mental energy expended (didn't bother with faces, there was just toooo much to even go there) but enough physical expenditure to help me chill. Might have to train the kid to be a ball tosser for me and get a net set up at home :D
