Snoogies's Journal, 01 May 2017

This is day 1 of a 28 day low-carb diet plan that I am starting with two friends, J. and J. We each need to lose at least 40 pounds and we each have an issue with too much alcohol, and health issues related to being over-weight. We will be motivating each other on a daily or if necessary more frequent basis to ensure that we get through the first week (the hardest) without the temptation of a glass (bottle) of wine or a large vodka on the rocks (or 2 or 3). We will be weighing in once a week, on Monday, and also measuring our waist circumference, mine was 45.5 this morning. I have avoided the scale since my husband and I returned from vacation in November and this morning's weigh-in was not a shocker, as I have been binging on white wine and Miss Vickies chips (damn they are so good). I prepared a Week 1 menu plan to be used as a guide and J and I went grocery shopping yesterday for our weeks supply. We shared tips and recipes, it was very motivating.
206.4 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 46.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
