It's a cloudy, breezy morning here on the Space Coast, with rain (hopefully) on the way.

Had a very good week, we did great this week at the store and things are moving along at Love INC. I spent the better part of my free time there this week and for the last few days I have been texturing and finishing two walls in the entrance to their office. I will take pictures but it is hard to capture the full 3D effect that building color upon color brings. For once I am truly happy with my work, I am my own worst critic and sometimes I must learn to ignore that critic!

Last night was our third BLN (Biggest Loser-Nomad) weigh-in and I am so happy that I had good numbers this time. Planning ahead and getting exercise are truly the two most important things I must do, along with doing stress-reducing activities.

I don't know if I have journaled about this yet but in the last month I was blessed with a wonderful gift from two of my fellow Nomads. Long story short, one of them came to the store and asked me to come out to the car and help her bring in some donations, and when I did I was handed a guitar in a case and informed that it was for ME!

You see, back in the day I used to play the guitar a lot. I was self-taught because my parents couldn't afford lessons and my dad was too prideful to take advantage of scholarships (in his view, "charity"). Over the years, it was one of the things that slowly slipped away from me, and eventually I didn't play at all.

So here we are in 2012 and I have a beautiful instrument to play again. It's funny how you don't forget everything, even after 20 years. The fingers remember where they should go. Trust me, I have a long way back to get to the proficiency I used to have. But, just like my weight loss and success over depression, it is something I will have to do one day at a time. I will soon make that guitar sing!

It is good to be back in touch with my art, and with myself. Peace to all and have a wonderful Sunday!

Congratulation son your weight loss. I know how hard it is to stay focused when we lead such busy lives. But our health has to be right up there on our list of priorities.

They reported the BLN weekly results during the announcements at church today, I came in 3rd in the women's group of participants. They put my name and the percentage of loss (no they don't show the whole congregation your actual weight) on the big screen for all to see!

Awesome on the loss girll. you sound so much happier now..Will you be forming a band with that new quiter??..would love to hear you play... My CIL, makes quiters and mandolins..I know I didn't spell that right.. He has seversal CD's of bluegrass music..of which he is on...and again congrats on being 3rd..Have a great day and try not to work too hard. :O)

Thanks Skinny, Bren, Buffy and PK. Maybe once I am practiced up again I will record a little and share it. I am so happy to have a competition such as BLN to challenge me, and also to be back here where I truly belong!
