tylinmarie, I'm so sorry that you are discouraged! If you read others' journals, you will see that many have discouraging days too. Don't let a week or two of a perceived lack of progress stop you from what you stated as your goal: that you are "ready for a chance to better my children's lives". It is not too late today, nor will it be too late tomorrow, but you might want to think twice before turning your back on the admirable 13 lbs. of progress that you've already had. And if you don't think 13 lbs. is a LOT, then go to the grocery store, pick up a 10lb. chub of ground beef, and hold next to your belly. It is a lot. Hang in there, keep journaling, both the good and the bad, and you WILL see progress.

Why not? Can you identify what stopped you, what changed? There's always a reason, stress or frustration or boredom... but remember YOU are in control. It is up to you to decide to change or not to change. When you decide to change, nothing can stop you. But nothing can change unless you decide to make happen. Don't give up! Everybody has bad days, weeks and months :) We all have to pick ourselves up and start over and move on. Beating yourself up isn't going to help anything.

Hi you know you can do it for your kids and for you. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to soda I drink "Fuze" because i can't STAND the taste of diet sodas. I actually haven't had soda for 1 month and drink this, which is based with purified water :) Good luck and don't give up!!

Don't give up! We all get discouraged and go back to our old ways sometimes. We've spent our entire lives learning how to do things in the OLD WAY. It takes awhile to change those habits. Ditto to DM2--13 lbs is a big difference. You can do this. Falling off the wagon doesn't mean you're a failure, it means you're human. You just need to put whatever mistakes you feel you've made behind you and look forward.

You are 21 years old. You have a whole, full life in front of you and plenty of time to learn NEW WAYS. Be patient with yourself.
