Motivated's Journal, 10 November 2007

Week 4 of 3rd 6 wks, 137. 36% body fat, musc mass 83.2, small ketones, 45 min level 8 elliptical.

Breakfast atkins bar, coffee w cream, lunch salad w chicken, dinner, ceasar salad w small steak, glass cabernet.

I think I have arrived at the amount of food and exercise that will allow me to maintain my weight--my goal for this 6 weeks. I have not measured or weighed anything-just avoided certain foods. I have eaten until I wasn't hungry--stopping when full, had wine when I felt like it (this 6 wks), I rarely snack between meals--too busy--unless I am ravenously hungry--then I grab some smoked and salted almonds.

What I don't have is any wiggle room. I doubt that changing what I do for a couple of days would change my weight quickly but I don't know that. I don't really feel like giving up anything I do or working out any longer, more frequently or harder--so perhaps I'm 'there'. Why don't I feel settled?
137.0 lb Lost so far: 21.8 lb.    Still to go: 2.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I think you have done an exquisite job reaching this point!! I want you to know something too... like you, I reached my goal weight the first time and I thought I would feel relieved... instead, I felt like I still needed to do something, not that I was fat... I liked what the mirror showed me but I just didn't know what to do next and I always felt like I had to "diet" b/c it was what I had learned and trained myself to do. I think you are doing fine and if you would like to keep doing what you're doing... I think that will be perfectly o.k. too! I'm proud of you, look how far you've come!!
