Okay – I don’t normally do middle-of-the-day weigh-ins but our car broke down on the way back home yesterday and we ended up in a motel overnight while it was getting fixed (so I wasn’t home to do my weigh-in this morning). That said I usually weigh a bit less in the mornings so I am hoping my new number (219.8) will stick and I can officially declare I hit my goal weight sometime over the New Year’s holiday!

We had a great time in Cannon Beach. Some friends from home met us there and we did the countdown together looking out over the ocean. The next day we did a 4 mile walk on the beach and then a 3 mile loop in Ecola state park (which included about 700’ in elevation gain). Not sure I would have been able to do both a year ago.

I managed to stick mostly to plan during my vacation – but did have a small glass of Champaign and Port on New Year’s Eve which put me up a bit. On the plus side, I did make sure to get some exercise at the hotel gym on Monday (although the equipment wasn’t great)

I am thinking my next goal – which I will officially set tomorrow – will be to continue to lose at a slightly slower rate until I get to 200 lbs (hopefully by the end of March). I will do this by continuing with the exercise and slowly adding healthy carbs (e.g. fruit, carrots, etc.)

Be Happy!
