things have been so busy! I've been trying to cut down on portions, realizing maybe I'm eating more than I realize, trying to eat only until I'm full. That's hard for me! If it's in front of me I want to eat it all! Plus I have a hard time being able to actually tell if I'm full. I've been trying to eat with more presence, eating slowly, and enjoying each bite of my food more. I've been doing better about only eating when I'm hungry. Trying not to snack when the kids are, or eat while cooking, or while putting away food. I'm starting to see all the hidden places where I eat but don't really think about it. The scale is finally starting to go down, which feels great.

My tenth anniversary is in 3 months and a week, I really feel motivated to lose a good amount to of weight by then! I was tempted to go on a crazy diet, and try to lose 30 lbs by then, not that it's impossible, but I have commited to not jumping on a diet I can not sustain, and doing this by changing my relationship with food, so I am resisting this temptation. It's surprisingly hard!
198.5 lb Lost so far: 32.5 lb.    Still to go: 33.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You will get there. Sounds like you have the right attitude. Finding those little habits that need to be changed was key for me.

you are on the right track girl!! ..reading you it's inspiring cause it reminds me there is no "easy" path and is all about consciousness of whatever you decide to put in your body.. I also think is a great idea not force yourself into a "fast-track" diet since slower changes are always better for the body giving it time to adapt and somehow helping to the idea that is not a 'diet' change but a lifestyle . Anyway, good job in your progress, we will get there :)

I agree with the others....you have a great plan and are going to lose the weight in a healthy fashion. I am in your corner cheering you on....

That's a wonderful plan. Congratulations keeping your hunger in check. I also feel like sometimes I should eat when I am not hungry just because it is meal time again and everyone else is. 😕
