Any chance there is a food pantry in your area?

there is, and we use it. we've got a young child (who's homeschooled, so every meal is eaten at home) who gets fed first. he's growing like a weed, and hungry almost constantly! (also half the food we get from the food bank is already rotten, which is... useful?) but we get paid on thursday, which will be nice!

I have no clue how people make it, especially with kids. I can barely feed myself. Hang in there ; )

We're counting down to payday at my house, too. It would help if my wife would stop smoking, gosh, what an expensive habit. But I make sure Lilly, our three-year-old always has plenty of food, first.

That's why I enjoyed sending my two kids to school!! Summers were hard to keep them fed!!

schools here aren't super amazing, and he has really bad ADHD and would end up in trouble constantly. we chose to homeschool so that i could teach him around his ADHD, and since he's the only student, there's no guilt about one on one attention. it's usually not THIS bad, food-wise (i mean, i had JUST BREAD on sunday), but we had a couple things come up that meant we had to allocate some grocery money towards gas money so that my husband could continue going to work! @philmck my husband used to smoke, but we got to a point where we literally couldn't afford that AND food, so he quit and it's soooo much cheaper lol.
