Well, I have gained even though I have been pretty good about my diet. I think it must be that my matabolism has slowed from not smoking. Guess I need to add some exercise. At least some walking.
174.8 lb Lost so far: 23.2 lb.    Still to go: 29.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 2.2 lb a week

It is hard to balance other areas when you're trying so hard to accomplish the quit smoking thing. Just do your best and keep it from getting out of control. I'm going in the wrong direction right now too, but it's a new day and we can both turn it around.

When you change the chemistry in your body it always seems to affect how you eat and digest food. Smoking is one big one that can mess with your metabolism, I believe it is a short term thing, however we tend to replace smoking with eating.

Dear Hez - there is nothing more important than quitting smoking! nothing at all ….so you have accomplished a HUGE and vital health goal. You will manage your weight with a bit more time. Brava Hez!
