I wanted to look back on my history to see what's been going on since I joined FS and it was very interesting. Truth is I've been in the 170s for the better part of last four years (one of the years I spiked to 191 which shattered me a bit, but it was up and back down within that year, then 170s again. Another very brief moment in there was a juice fast that brought me down to 161 and then right back up. That was a real disappointment). I think the only real diet that worked since my low carb loss of 2009 was a brief time on the 'fast diet' that brought me down into the 160s again fairly evenly. I liked that one and may go there again, even though finding that day (or two?) of the week to eat lean was a bit tricky. One day a week is 500 cals. Anyway, Six years ago, I'd gotten down to 155 and loved every minute of 155-158, was there for a year. Loved it. Want it back, every minute of the last four years I've wanted to be in that range again. My goal has been 20 pounds for too long. I'm pretty happy that there has been some even keel in my weight but honestly its just too much. I'm busting out of my size 14 pants and my swimsuits. I want to feel good about myself again. How I feel in my clothes matters to me. Being in the 170s has taught me something. I want excellence for myself. I'm fine the way I am for everyone else. I want to be thinner for me. I feel like this little research project was a good eye opener. Will I settle for okay? Or go for greatness?

Your post "spoke" to me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your journey! I was just thinking how good I felt when I got down to 170, brief as it was. Though I regained, just having made it that far has shown me that 1) I CAN do it, and 2) just how light and energetic I feel at that weight. It provides encouragement to do what I must - and be patient - as I work my way back down to my current goal of 160. Best wishes to you!
