not quite sure if I actually have gained a # and 1/2, or if it's the scales, very frustrating. I bought 2 new scales, on hard floor they weigh 4-8 # higher than on a skinny rug. the newest set then weighs 4-5 less than the other, which weighs closest to what I've weighed all yr!! no 2 scales are the same , true, but even one set shouldn't be so crazy, !! I weigh myself nude every day. then add 7 days for a weekly avg. but now I'm having to weigh 3-4 times each morning, say within a 10 minute period and still avg. for the day.. I'm going to try changing batteries again, or maybe I should just use the 1st weight I take??? give me some idea's!!

Scales should be on a hard level surface. But it is nuts how they can vary. Put an object(s) you know the weight of (like 2 hand weights) to gauge the accuracy of the scales.
