I found out that I'm prediabetic (5.7 A1C Hemoglobin). I've really started looking at things differently ever since I got those results. I haven't had much sugary (refined) foods and snacks, drinks, etc. That's a definite start for me.
I'm looking for other people who have been fighting diabetes and gotten away from it.
My big challenge is still my (left) knee from my meniscus injury/ surgery. My son noticed I'm locking my knee and that's from compensating from my injury and subsequent surgery. I also have a bunion on my right now compensating from my injury and surgery as well. I'm hoping this is not a permanent issue and that weight loss will help alleviate the weight and I'll walk better.
The biggest issue is that I have metabolic disease, which is why I'm pre-diabetic.
My nutritionist wasn't very positive about weight loss. That's an interesting problem, as I have to lose weight. Period.
229.8 lb Lost so far: 5.2 lb.    Still to go: 89.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.1 lb a week

You need to lose weight for yourself, to enhance the quality of your life. Other negative opinions are not important. Make up your mind that you are worth the effort. You can change your future, one day at a time. There are plenty of tools, and support here. Good luck to you.
