I'm going to write a whole bunch🫠🤣but I noticed you don't really eve respond to comments on your post. Nonetheless I want to try to help and hope you read this. I'm sorry to see all of the bad things that have happened recently with you and your husband. Life is very difficult sometimes. I saw you said you're doing CICO which is great. Ultimately regardless of WOE that is what will decide are weight/health most times. You just need to change your view of food. Stop eating to feel a void or make a tough time less difficult. When we figure out that we're supposed to eat to live, not live to eat. Food is fuel/energy nothing more nothing less. If you set a goal weight and match your macros to it then you have something to chase each day. Counting calories doesn't have to be miserable encounter each day. There's so many good foods out there now. That's it not even like you have to only eat salad & water every day. You can make this fun but it all starts with your mindset/perception of the entire thing. I'd say think about how long you've wanted to change your body/health. I saw you joined in 2010 I believe? What if I told you in 6 months to a year you could accomplish your goals? Anyways sorry for the length of this! Why not you? why not start the change today? That's what I asked/told myself a little over 2 years ago. Now down nearly 131 lbs. You can do this... but it's up to you. I send all of this respectfully. I see you have 2 young daughters I do as well along with a 12 year old son. They were big in my decision to finally commit to a healthier life. We're not promised tomorrow. I'm not saying losing weight will keep us here any longer. But it definitely can't hurt our chances.

Thanks Joe Not Exotic -- you're right, I don't respond to comments on here because I didn't see a way to tag a specific person and I wasn't sure if it would alert them. Maybe it's just me, but I find this app not particularly intuitive. Yeah, I know intellectually that food is fuel. But right now food and drinks are also a source of comfort and joy. I'm not sure how to shift that mindset. I am able to lose weight, I've done it before. But the fight against my genetics my whole life (and now my lowering metabolism) feels exhausting at times. I'm physically healthy, relatively active, and pretty strong. I would say I'm on the cusp of healthy/overweight. So some days I wake up and look in the mirror and think "okay, you look good" and other days I think "ugh." Today was a day when I stepped on the scale and was like "whatever, it is what it is." Idk if that makes sense. I also can't see your comment t while I'm responding, so I'm sure you made points I'm not addressing. Thanks for the feedback. 🙂

❤️... Nice to sort of meet you... I'm glad you read it the way I intended it. Sometimes text can be taken out of context. I totally understand and I realize you're not like a my 600 lb participant🤣but I believe ultimately the thought process of all of this is most crucial. As we both brought up finding a better relationship with food over time. But anyways I wanted to try to help if I could. I'm no expert by any means but I know what's worked for me thus far. Keep on keeping on!

I sent you a PM on the site as well. Can't get it from the app but you can read it from the browser version.

Mega, i read a couple of your posts and what you said to Joe. “Right now food and drinks are also a source of comfort and joy.” That is counterintuitive to being upset and frustrated with your weight. I think what you mean is that you enjoy those choices in the moment but they are not bringing you comfort and joy or you would not be upset, depressed and frustrated with your weight. Try and see if you can change your mindset. Food isn’t a comfort and joy tho it can be tasty. Food is meant to sustain you. One of the things you said in an earlier post was that you were still hungry after you had your days allotment of calories. Have you thought of incorporating bone broth into your diet for those times? Relatively low calories, decent amount of protein and gives you a feeling of satiety. I dont eat 4 legged animals have not for over 30 years but had to make an exception last summer for about 6 months in efforts to up my protein without the expense of higher calories. I used the dr kellyanne brand. Additionally are you drinking enough water to help with that feeling of fullness? Ive had loads of nights where i go to bed hungry but I drink magnesium about 6 oz to help me sleep and with bowel issues and it does help me feel full. Smoothies may help you as well. Play around with different types. Joe is a really good resource as well.

Italia-i forced myself to keep a fat journal in my photo albums at the start of my journey. On the 1st of every month i took new pics front, back and sideways along with measurements (and i weighed daily) and recorded all of that (prior to discovering fatsecret). I am both amazed and appalled at what happened to me in 8 short years. Correction, what i did to myself. The visual accountability helped me and as time went by i could go back and see the changes happening along with the inches decreasing. Im a numbers girl so this really helped me. Good luck on your journey. No judgements here.

@ItaliaJ I can definitely relate. A candid photo taken by my SIL at my daughters 6th birthday last weekend was what drove me back as well. 😕
