So how is the South Beach Diet going? Are you done with your two weeks of no carbs/sugars/etc?

Why does it say that you have 22 lbs to go? I thought that we were doing smaller goals.

Oh yeah Ame, I decided to go back to my original goal. It is funny how I always check where people are at in their goals and I realized that mine looked kind of silly. My goal isn't to be ten pounds less. Its to be 23 pounds less. So I just changed it. It felt like I was trying to do a number on myself. Sorry. I forgot to write you a note. Love you!!! I'm also going to be doing vegies for the next week allowing only nuts and yogurt and coconut milk, that sort of thing. Really giving my new Vitamix a go.

I haven't really been following south beach to the letter yet. I wanted to wait until the holidays are over so thanks, I'll be on it now... I'm definitely off sugar on day one today.

I had a smoothie for lunch, kale, raspberries, banana, 1/2 apple, almond milk, flax, protien powder and ice. I liked it. J said it was a little "healthy" for him. I like how it feels after one of these smoothies, maybe because they're so easy to digest. I can be full, but don't feel bloated. As far as the lower goal, i think smaller goals make sense when we need that confidence of having a more obtainable goal. But you know you can do it, so I'm with ya. Oh, I helped T haul the old old potters kick wheel out of the basement to sell it. Not my good one, but another one I never used. It weighs like 200 pounds, and I dreaded doing it. When we brought it down there, 13 yrs ago or so, it was very difficult, I'm sure I messed my back up. This time, hauling UP stairs and going backwards, it was hard but my arms were more tired than back. Long story to tell you guys I'm stronger than I was 13 yrs ago. Feeling good about that as much as weight. 🐘

I think one thing that really got me about eating so much at Eric's parent's house was the bloatiness. I am just used to not having it anymore. It felt really good to eat light today. I had a granola bar & decaf coffee for breakfast, a banana for lunch and about 1.5 cups of pasta for dinner. Went a little heavy on the pasta (it was good) but did not have two FULL servings like I normally would have. I added just a tiny spoonful for my second serving, but even with that I still feel rather full and bloated.

We all are cognizant of that feeling of over doing it. Who could ask for anything more? Oh, yeah, knowing ahead of it and avoiding it as a result. We're getting there! 😉
