This is so painfully long...

'Are we there yet???' Are we there yet???'

No matter if intellectually I know that's the way I'll be eating for the rest of my life, having a goal is akin to arriving at a destination. I'm in a state of anticipation.

At least in maintenance, that won't be an issue.

I'm still on elimination diet, and I cheated. I had some wine yesterday and stayed up late and ate some p/butter with jam on (2) rice cakes.

I do feel tired and very hungry this morning, but this is because I stayed up late, watching TV.

I feel I'm really not losing weight where I should or where I need too. It seems to be all in the front.

I wonder if certain calories from certain foods affect the way you lose. For instance, would my stomac shrink if I ate less sugar? I've got a feeling the answer is yes. Because even though I'm reaching my rdi, or under, my intake is a lot of fruit. But I so love my fruit! We'll see, maybe I'll experiment.

I don't think it matters what type of food you eat and where you will be losing the fat first. The body will take it where it pleases. I noticed that I am losing fat from all of my body parts and it's good like that. OK, the boobs could have stayed a C cup but what can you do, hehe. I am eating a lot of fruits and some sweets and I'm writing this while I'm drinking my hot chocolate and my stomach is somewhat flat when I stand up. Just take your time, it will come off.

From what I've read around here, maintenance is harder than losing. It's boring day after day of 'no change'. Esp if it's based on the scale. I tend to agree sugar likely hovers in the abdomen - esp in my case. Were you flat stomach in the past before gaining? I never was. Even at my lowest weight, several times, I still had a pouch, paunch, belly, whatever.

Spot reducing fat by eating certain foods or doing certain ab/butt/arm exercises is largely a myth. Your genetics is by far the largest factor influencing how, when and where your body chooses to lose body fat. Really, the only way to lose fat where you want to lose it is to lower your overall body fat percentage. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if anyone tells you otherwise, they've more than likely been suckered in by a "snake oil salesman". I have come to grips that I will probably never have the abs or butt I want because it's just not in my genetics to have them. I did, however, inherit my mom's fabulous legs, so that's where I choose to focus my attention when I feel bummed about the other parts I'm "stuck with".
