Do any of my FS family weigh in every other day, or am I the only one? I've been watching my calorie intake along with what I eat. I had been trying to keep myself informed on my progress to see what I'm doing right or wrong. So far great progress. But I tend to look forward to the next weigh in.

Hi, I'm new but learning Fast. Yesterday the scale went up 1 lb. Pulse jumped. Truth, I hadn't overeaten enough to create a whole pound. I looked at the food diary. Olives, salt. Water retention. From other posts/comments of people who've found the same problem, the most accurate is to gage your progress by the same time, same day of the week. Hope this helps.

I weigh every day, but I keep a running 7 day average, which I consider my true weight. I record the 7-day average in Google Fit every day,, but I only post it on FS on Sundays. Weight can easily fluctuate up or down a couple of pounds in a day, so you don't want to get too wrapped up in a single day's reading. Different people have different strategies, but the goal is to measure progress without getting tied into a knot over it or, worse yet, letting it derail you

yes, I almost derailed over 1 lb. In reality, it wasn't even a lb. of fat.

I am currently trying to get away from daily weigh ins...but have gained a solid 7lbs by obsessing. So I am back to once a week until I calm down again!@#@!🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm actually doing every other week now not going to stress it's actually better for me this way I'm ok with 2 or 1 and half loss I want to keep it off not a quick fix that never lasts for me. but totally respect everyone else's choice. 👏 🙏

I am weighing a lot less now that I’m in maintenance. Maybe not enough. I’d like to do once a week. But when I was losing I felt more comfortable weighing every day

Once a week at most is what my Drs office recommended recently. I don’t own a scale but weigh myself every two weeks at work. Losing weight safely takes time.

And also per Dr, weigh in the morning before breakfast and I always wait until after my morning bowel movement.

I weigh-in every day to track and manage patterns but only log it at the beginning of each of my carb cycles, (every 6 days). I think its a personal preference tho. many people do it many different ways. just like your food and exercise plan, whatever works best for you is what you should be doing.

Weigh in every day but try to only log once a week, unless I'm loosing lol🤣 Tends to be less discouraging☺️

Noom recommends everyday. Sometimes it can be frustrating, but I think it is beneficial to understanding how your body works.

I just weigh in the morning before I get in the shower. Habit. What it says does not influence my day or my life. I don’t record a change unless it is greater than half a pound up/down. On a day to day basis It is not weight, it is water, hormones, maybe my 26 feet of bowel is moving slower than normal. Only when I see a trend do I reassess what I have been eating, drinking, my sleep, etc.

I weigh every day, but it’s just part of my morning routine.

I weigh every day - otherwise the train can get away from me really quickly! For many people, though, daily weighing is a big stressor - and who needs more stressors in their life! Do what feels best for you.
