Rowanfair's Journal, 31 March 2011

Well, it has been two weeks and I am still at 165 (plus or minus .2 lbs on any given day). Guess I will "weigh-in" so that it will stop telling me to in red letters every time I hit the site.

I am still recovering from pneumonia! Working from home 1/2 time this week. I've used up all my sick leave and am going to have to go on State short term disability. I sincerely hope to be back at work next week though.

Had a series of birthday parties this past week for various folks. One was at a Brazilian Churrascaria place which was totally fab for the WoE. LOL I admit I had more meat calories that day than normal but YUMMMY! The most recent one was my dear friend who made saffron seafood lasagna... with Dreamfields lasagna. Plus he made a low carb cheesecake for me to eat whilst everyone else had the one shipped in from NY's Carnegie Deli. My friends are so awesome. (And yes about half of it came home with me so a daily dose of cheesecake... has to be good for what ails me).

Only three weeks until the Europe trip. Eeep! I really hope I can get my energy back. And that getting on long airplane flights doesn't expose me to more respiratory bugs. I have no idea what my resistance is like. Either my immune system is totally revved up and I will be invincible... or I will spend the whole holiday being sick. Praying for #1 there, as you can imagine!
165.0 lb Lost so far: 55.0 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Great jopb with maintaining Rowan, especially when you have been so ill. Hope that you are back at top speed by next week. The birthday parties sound wonderful, especially the cheesecake. What awesome friends! Now, get well before that trip, darn it! lol

Time to load up on supplements to boost your immunity. No one wants to go on holiday sick. Have you been able to take any walks to build up your strength?
