Fake weigh in...just want to clear that stupid, stupid WEIGH IN NOW notification! Jeez, can someone at FS fix this. My settings are set for it to never remind me to weigh in, but it reminds me every 7 freakin' days. Rant over.

I will weight myself eventually, but like others right now I don't want to know. My clothes and just doing a visual inspection both tell me I'm doing pretty good. I probably have lost a bit of weight, but regardless, I don't want to know...just yet. No need to deal with the head trip a scale can potentially put me on.

My EWYL (Eat What You Love)/Am I hungry approach to food is going well. It has brought to the forefront that I was a comfort/boredom/secret over-eater for as far back as I can remember. This explains most of my life being chubby. It's ridiculous how selective our memories can be, but looking back I see I overate emotionally a lot. So, learning to listen to what my body actually needs has been eye-opening and liberating. I don't get bloated anymore (how shocking how that happens when you don't overfill your stomach lol)! I always thought it was the type of food causing the bloat and sometimes it was, but now I see 90% of the time I was just eating too much.

Anyhow, the truth has set me free and these new eating skills are definitely for life!

Glad to hear you are on a good track doing well with mindful eating! For me I think both type of food and amount have effects on my stomach, but it still amazes me how horrible I can feel after eating crap. Have a nice day!

I know ... I have the same settings and still get the reminder every 7 days ... I'm sure FS is like 'hey, you're on a site for weight loss, get over it, suck it up or lie..' so I choose the latter. AS for the EWYL - the HUGEST thing that changed my life was the recognition that my stomach is only the size of my fist.. and that portion control, regardless of whether a lowcal salad or highcal mac&cheese (or smores.. .smores sound so good to me right now) are all to be eaten w/in that measure at the most. ONCE I got 'that' I didn't binge over eat as much. I can still overeat.. but do it a LOT less...

Hey guys, thanks for your comments! Yes, I have to remind myself of that fact: stomach = size of my fist. That's really good to keep in mind when I'm putting my plate or bowl together. Bella, have so much fun this extra-long birthday weekend!
