What do you mean by sugar free?

for me sugar free is no deserts processed sugar, processed carbs. The only sugar I have had is that in my sweet potato and an apple a day and my red cabbage cooked with apple (part of my apple a day). I still use stevia in my tea and I also eat some live grain ezekial 4/9 cereal on days that I ride long distance. I'm doing a hydrostatic body fat test on the 31st of May so I'm seeing just how this affect my results. I will be taking my fancy bodyfat scale with me to compare the results

Did you get the results of your body fat testing?

Yes I did I was a bit disappointed I came in at 10.7 % I was hoping for sub 10% I took my Tanita scale and compared the results the were surprising close my scale said 243 lbs and 10.9%. My scale regularly has be at 9.6% in te afternoon when I fully hydrated which is when Tanita say to measure yourself. When I got home an hour later my scale indeed said I was 9.6 but the hydrostatic testing is supposed to be the most accurate. The report I got said I only need to lose 1lb of fat to hit my sub 10% goal so It should not be to hard my weight fluctuates 3 to 5lbs a day just on water weight for example this AM I weighed 242 but yesterday just before dinner and after a ling bike ride I was 239. The Tanita scale measures hydration and the fat level is always higher when the hydration is low. When I wake up I'm usually 55% and full hydrated I'm 60% yesterday after my ride I was 58% and 9.6% fat. I'm don't think hydration should make any difference with the hydrostatic test as water should be neutral. All in all I should be happy with my results as it is very good for a guy who is almost 60 but I now have a continued goal. I did have a few extra carbs for a few days but now I'm back to low I'm eating 2800 to 3300 calories depending on my activity with 300 plus grams of protein and will be lowering the carbs from and average of 200 to 175 and increasing my fat just a bit. My macro average for the last few months was 44% protein 28% fat and 28% carbs I'm going to try a bit more fat and less carb and a little less protein to see if I can keep myself fueled on my ride days without as many carbs. Thanks for checking in
