I think my metabolism is on fire. I had to miss a few work out days recently because my transmission died Had to get another car which kept me from the gym. As if the car situation wasn't the real problem -- I kept thinking about missed muscle building and fat burning sessions. However, I think the break and subsequent upping of my weight reps has kicked it into high gear.

I was in maintenance mode, but I switched back to a very gradual loss mode to eliminate belly fat -- which has been shaving off ever so slowly. Never in my life have I exercised with this commitment and combined it with the right foods to fuel muscle building. It's just wonderful. I'm officially in the "fit" category based on body fat percentages which is my objective. Health.

Only occasionally do I want to indulge in stuff that isn't good for me, but I do when I want to now. Then I get back in the saddle.

@SparkKG I do know it is all too frequent that life gets in the way. We do the best we can and that is more than good enough. I enjoyed ice cream. I had pizza. I walked on the beach. I napped. I enjoyed down time amid all the chaos of my car situation, so it wasn't eating away at me that I was missing the gym. Just an awareness and a commitment to get back on track when able. Going through all of this, I have been reminded just how few people can afford to eat food that is genuinely fuel as well as find time to be fit. It's brutal. Demoralized the heck out of me for years. I'm by no means comfortable financially, so I make tough choices about what my priorities are all the time. We're all chugging through life one way or another.
