With my increase in weight work, I am feeling the body change even more dramatically. My goals are changing as well. I plan on increasing my weight loss goal to be 25% of my total weight. Although most charts indicate I should be in the low 120s or high teen, when I've been there, my body hasn't felt well even when I was there the right way. My body prefers low 130s as in 131 or 132. Doctors may say I'm wrong, but the amount of energy I put into lowering it depletes me rather than energizes me. As of today, I will adjust my goal weight down to 132.

I actually can't wait to get to the gym for my weights to work my core strength. Just powered down some serious protein, so we're targeting fat and shooting for muscle. Yesterday, when my son was with me during a tough set, I told him that whenever it burns or my brain says I'm too tired to keep going, I imagine that with each rep or step I am kicking the hell out of the glioblastoma tumor that killed my mother last April. In my mind, I'm telling it off for everything it took from me and removing what is in me that would welcome illness. I can only deal with what I am in control of, and that I do gladly. He understood without a word.

Healthy and happy despite hardship.
